At last...a high energy dance band playing all styles from the 40’s and 50’s to the latest hip hop and rap...and everything else in between!
AMERICA’S ONLY TRUE VARIETY BAND!
No live band plays the variety of dance music offered by Peter and the Wolf - from 40’s-50’s to the most current hip hop, rap and everything in between - and always appropriately selected to fit the audience.
Peter and the Wolf has been Nashville‘s MOST popular dance band for generations, presenting dance music with plenty of show and audience interaction, all supported by the finest in sound, light and visual equipment. If you know someone in the Nashville area, ask them about us!
Peter and the Wolf plays only full band venues - clubs and one nighters, weddings, holidays, corporate events, municipal festivals, colleges, birthdays, we’ve even done funerals and cruise ships! The full sound is huge, but volume is appropriately adjusted to any size room.
Additional entertainers can be added, usually including the addition of two wonderful female vocalists which expand the stage to four high energy entertainers. No dead weight musicians on this stage!
Dan Sherry, “Peter”, founder of the group since 1969, plays keys, sings, bass pedals with his feet and an occasional violin/fiddle. Dan has been performing dance music professionally for over 50 years, since the onset of rock and roll, with a consistent goal of presenting exactly what his audiences want to hear.
Mike Wyatt, “The Wolf”, is a versatile singer/percussionist with a diverse resume that ranges from symphonic work to the Grand Ole Opry to musical theatre. Mike is very active in the Nashville musical scene, but Peter and the Wolf offers him the unique opportunity to be a singer, drummer, keyboardist, harmonica player, dancer and comedian all in one gig!
Peter and the Wolf has been pleased to welcome some talented musicians and singers to our stage for some big budget corporate events, casinos and large clubs.
